Leonardo da Vinci was the European Union Programme Action which aimed to implement a vocational training policy.
The programme aimed at contributing to the promotion of a Europe of knowledge by developing a European area of co-operation in the field of education and vocational training. It supported Member States’ policies on lifelong learning and the building up of the knowledge and skills and competences likely to foster active citizenship and employability.
